Walking tour of elegent colonial city of Antigua, visiting the churches of San Francisco, Santa Clara, La Merced and Las Capuchinas. (B)

DAY 7. GRANDA - LEON
We head for Nicaragua's former capital, Leon. En route, we pass the volcanic landscapes of the Masaya Volcano National Park Stop at Nicaragua's Capital, Managua, for a short tour and views over Lake Managua. Continue to the striking colonial town of Leon.

Today is at leisure to explore this colonial gem at your own pace.
DAY 5. SAN JUAN - GRANADA
Enjoy some free time to relax by the beach. Continue to one of Nicaragua's most exquisite colonial gems. Atmospheric Granda is situated at the foot of Mombacho Volcano on the shores of Lake Nicaragua.(B)
DAY 6. GRANDA
Explore the city at leisure or enjoy optional sea kayaking.
DAY 3. SARAPIQUE - CANO NEGRO WILDLIFE REFUDGE
Head to the Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge, where we will enjoy a nature walk.
DAY 4. CANO NEGRO WILDLIFE REFUGE - SAN JUAN
Take a morning boat trip in search of monkeys, sloths, iguanas and caimans. Continue across northern Costa Rica. Cross the border into Nicaragua and head for the Pacific coast for a chance to relax at San Juan fishing village.
DAY 1. ARRIVE SAN JOSE
Arrive in San Jose and chick-in to the hotel.
DAY 2. SAN JOSE - SARAPIQUE
Drive through the Braulio Carillo National Park to Sarapiqui. A magnet for adventure seekers, the Sarapiqui region is famed for its rich natural diversity. The rest of the day is at leisure.
DAY 9. LEON - SUCHITOTO
Drive to El Salvador, approximately 13 hours, including all of our stops for visits and border crossings. Setting out through the pacific lowlands, we cross into Honduras for a short time before reaching the border of El Salvador.
DAY 10. SUCHITOTO
Nestled between the mountains and Suchitlan Lake, is the charming colonial town of Suchitoto, with the cobblestone streets and pretty houses. You may choose an optional boat trip on the lake. (B)
DAY 11. SUCHITOTO - COPAN
Travelling by way of the handicraft markets of Las Palmas, pass through a landscape of lush vegetation and mountainous valleys until we reach Copan. (B)
DAY 12. COPAN - GUATEMALA CITY
Today our local guide will escort us around the spectacular ruins of Copan - one of the richest archaeoligical sites in Central America. This afternoon, drive to Guatemala City.
DAY 13. GUATEMALA CITY - LAKE ATITLAN
Visit Guatemala City. Continue to the town of Panajachel on the shores of Lake Atitlan, considered to be one of the most spectacular lakes in the Americas. This afternoon, explore the lake by boat.
DAY 14. LAKE ATITLAN - ANTIGUA
Our journey continues to the bustling town of Chichcastenango. Steep in Mayan culture, the town is famed for its market, where you can buy everything, from chickens and copal, to pigs and pottery.

A non-refundable of $250 per person is required to secure your booking within 7 days from the date of reservation. 60 days prior to departure full payment is required. If booking is made within this time then full payment will be required at the time of booking.
